Where It All Started
The Flat Creek Shop wasn't born in a factory or a boardroom. It started the way most good things do — with a simple idea and a lot of trial and error.
We wanted to make t-shirts that felt different. Not just in the way they looked, but in the way they felt to wear. Something with character. Something that looked like it already had a history before it ever left our hands.
Hand-bleaching was the answer.
Why Hand-Bleach?
In a world of mass production, hand-bleaching is stubbornly, beautifully inefficient. Every shirt takes time. Every design is applied by hand. No two pieces come out exactly the same.
That's not a flaw — that's the whole point.
When you wear a Flat Creek Shop tee, you're wearing something that couldn't have been made by a machine. The fades, the tones, the way the bleach pulls differently on every shirt — that's craftsmanship. That's intention.
The Process
We start with quality blanks — Gildan Softstyle or Best brand for the job — because the base matters as much as the design. Then we apply bleach by hand, using techniques we've refined over time to get the warm golds, deep oranges, and white that define our aesthetic.
Each shirt is rinsed, washed, and inspected before it ships. If it doesn't meet our standard, it doesn't leave our hands.
